定义
芽生菌病是由双态性真菌皮炎芽生菌引起的一种侵袭性感染，是美国密西西比河上游和中游河谷、加拿大、地中海盆地和非洲部分地区特有的流行病。[1]虽然肺部受累最为常见，但皮肤、CNS 和骨关节受累也比较常见。感染累及其他部位（例如生殖泌尿系统）和甚至可能存在多个部位感染患者的情况不太常见。通常基于组织病理学证明存在特征性酵母相或从临床样本中培养出菌丝型作出诊断。[2]无普遍接受的芽生菌病分类概要，也没有关于疾病严重程度的正式标准。
